Cardiac Function Test

Cardiac Function Test

Cardio Bio Spectrum Diagnostic System (CardioSpec) is a unique and sophisticated device for
an early diagnosis of coronary artery diseases, particularly the myocardial injury caused by
ischemia.

This device is based on the concept that a human heart works like an engine, and the blood
circulation and electrical conduction of the heart and blood vessels works as a transmission. By
applying the engineering principles and theories, mathematical formulas and bio-cybernetics
technologies, one can evaluate, with high degree sensitivity, specificity and consistency, the
cardiac functions of a human being such as myocardial contractility, electrical conductivity and
blood fluidity, etc.

CardioSpec has been developed to analyze the myocardial function on a more comprehensive
level where the more insight physiological and pathological information can be extracted.
Obviously, this frequency domain cardiac electro-physiology study provides a more significant
meaning and higher efficacy than what the conventional EKG can provide.

After twenty years of intensive research and more than fifty thousand clinical tests, a new and
complete set of indices for heart diseases diagnosis has been formulated. The clinical
application of this new set of indices through the use of CardioSpec to detect the heart
diseases, especially the heart impairment of myocardial function due to coronary insufficiency,
has been impressively successful and the device has been recognized by a number of worldrenowned
cardiologists to be a medical breakthrough in the field of early and non-invasive
detection of heart diseases.

CardioSpec is highly efficient in diagnosing coronary artery disease (CAD) with more than 90%
sensitivity and specificity. Since CardioSpec evaluates the function of the myocardium directly,
it can detect any early subtle changes in myocardial function or injuries caused by the
obstruction of small coronary arteries which cannot be detected by catheterization or
angiography. It is a new member to the family of the cardiac diagnostic modalities in addition to
the catheterization, angiography and the conventional EKG.

The CardioSpec test is as simple to perform as with the conventional EKG. It gives four main
advantages comparing to other devices:

  1. early detection of coronary artery disease (CAD)
  2. high accuracy
  3. fast and easy to use
  4. non-invasive

CardioSpec opens the door to a new era of bio-cybernetics and human engineering in the 21st
century, and represents a milestone in the history of human medicine.
